Christmas - Act 2

So after the trip to see Andy's family we headed back to Dallas on Christmas Eve. That night, we took Parker for his first visit to our church's nursery and mommy and daddy went to Christmas Eve service with my parents. Then we came home and wrote Parker's first letter to Santa (a Almquist tradition)...Santa usually writes back, but I guess he was too busy this year to write anything back to P. He did leave some pretty cool things in P's stocking though.

Mommy and Parker with his first letter to Santa

We got up the next morning and did "the White house" Christmas, and then headed to my parents for Christmas brunch there.

Here is a pic of Parker and Dad opening up stockings on Christmas morning (thanks Hayden for the cute Santa outfit)

Our first Christmas as a family...first, this is a HORRIBLE picture of me...second, please notice the ornament Andy is holding up behind me...yes, that would be my KJH (Kaufman Junior High) cheerleader photo cut out in wood into an ornament...it hangs on my parents tree EVERY year...NEAT-O! And yes, my hair is hot rolled...

And finally...we headed back to our house to do Christmas night with Andy's sister and her husband...Uncle Zac is continuing the family tradition and sported the Christmas mow hawk...Andy did his last year, but never got around to doing it this year. I for see 2009 being a big Christmas Mow hawk year...
