The HEE HOUSE

Santa came a few days early to our house. Noni and Hampaw bought the boys a play house, or as Parker calls it a "hee house" for Christmas. It came a few days before Christmas and I had every intention of hiding it until Christmas morning, but it would have been damn near impossible to do so since P was caught spying out of his window during nap time while it was being set up. I mean, it came in pieces and he knew by looking at the pieces what it was. He kept saying, "mommy, daddy...hee house...back yard". So we decided instead of covering the back part of our house in black trash bags we would just give it to them early.

Andy and my dad had a little party in the back yard while putting the play house together. I am proud to say that no muscles were pulled, no fingers were smashed, or no fist fights broke out during the process.

This is how I envisioned it would go the first time they saw the play house: We walk out into the back yard. Parker and Cooper see the play house, they smile, give a few squeals of excitement, and then run (or have someone carry you) over and play for hours. You can see it now cant you? Yep...the most magical moment ever...yeeeeaaahhhhh...not so much.

The first sightings...There is still a glimmer of hope at this point for my magical moment to take place...

Coop likes it

And...yea...not gonna happen. We had to DRAG P to the house, to where he threw himself on the ground in a hysterical fit. In his defense, he had just woken up from a "car nap", it was way past his dinner time, and it was cold...but hey, all mommy wanted was a little squealing, maybe a smile...(sigh)

Day 2 was much better (sorry no pic of Coop...I assure you he loves the play house too. Parker likes to boss us and say, "mommy, coop, bedda, GET IN...GET IN HEE HOUSE!")
